One of the leading figures of the post-war avant-garde, John Cage was one of the most influential composers of the 20th century. His early experiments in electronic music proved to be a strong influence on the music of experimental rock band Sonic Youth and many other avant-garde rock bands such as Stereolab and Current 93. Variations IV, Volume II was performed as three sections in 1965 and features long time collaborator and performer David Tudor. Newly re-mastered.
